OAKLAND COUNTY SELECTS ASTI FOR BROWNFIELDS
/Brighton, MI September 21, 2013: ASTI Environmental is one of five environmental consultants that have been selected by Oakland County to manage their $600,000 EPA Brownfield Assessment Grant ($500,000 for hazardous substances and $100,000 for petroleum substances). Among their responsibilities, ASTI will recruit investors and eligible projects to the County, focusing on Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Hazel Park, Madison Heights, Pontiac and Southfield who will receive $60,000 each. The remaining $240,000 will be spread throughout the other 55 jurisdictions in Oakland County. If you have plans to buy or sell real estate in Oakland County or expand/relocate your business in the County then ASTI wants to work with you. Projects that transform the County through job creation and/or reuse of brownfield sites will be given top priority. Current landowners that are not responsible for suspected contamination may also be eligible. Full or partial funding for Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, Baseline Environmental Assessments, Due Care Plans, Remediation Options Analysis, Brownfield Plans, Hazardous Building Materials Surveys (Lead Based Paint, Asbestos), Above/Underground Storage Tank Assessments and Environmental Data Review is available.
