According to ASTM Practice  E 1527-05, the term Recognized Environmental Condition (REC) means the presence, or likely presence of hazardous substances or petroleum products on a property under conditions that indicate an existing release, a past release or the material threat of a release of any hazardous substance or petroleum products into structures on the property or into ground, groundwater or surface water of the property.

ASTI CLIENTS AWARDED BROWNFIELD ASSESSMENT GRANTS

Brighton, MI-November 30, 2011:  With just 7 of the State of Michigan's 54 applicants being awarded EPA Brownfield Assessment and Cleanup grants, this year proved to be one of the most competitive grant rounds in recent memory.  ASTI Environmental assisted two of the seven winning communities - the City of Inkster was awarded a $400,000 community wide site assessment grant, and The City of Adrian, through Lenawee County, was awarded a $200,000 cleanup grant.
